Thank you for signing the one instrument to give you a real choice, the Petition for an Independence Referendum for the Province of Alberta. Only if Albertans have a real choice can the better future in a nation of Western Canada be achieved. But signing was just a first step. You pledged your honour to achieve a new nation.

To get the referendum we must show the provincial government that a referendum is what you, the people, want. To achieve this, we need more names! To achieve this, we need your further help.

We enclose a new petition. Can you get 10 or your friends to sign and send it in? This is how people power works. We all have to do our part for the cause. We also ask you to consider joining the movement. An application form is on the back. The yearly membership fee is $15.00, which gets you a monthly newsletter, the Western Separatist Papers. This way you will be notified of all future meetings and activities as well.

Finally, we plan to present 10,000 signatures to the Progressive Conservative Party convention in Red Deer Alberta March 29^th. We need as many separatists as possible to come there with us to present the petition. The Premier’s office has been in touch with us to arrange a time for a meeting with the Premier. Can you come to Red Deer and join us? We will be meeting at the North Hill Inn (7150 – 50 Avenue, Red Deer) at 10 am to organize ourselves for the presentation.
