There comes a time in the course of history when a few brave people must risk to achieve their dreams. Canada has so lost its purpose and so wandered from any noble goal that we who know this have a duty to take the message of freedom to our fellow citizens.
For this reason we have planned a 14-day tour of Southern Alberta. We have been able to do this through your support and dedication. We need you to come with us on our tour. We will distribute literature and solicit signatures in each town during the day. As night, we will have a meeting at which we will explain to those who come, why our petition for a referendum on Independence is the only real hope.
While the Premier of Alberta “vassalates” (pun intended) between advocating “firewalls” for Alberta, and thanking a smiling Jean Chrétien for returning some of the money Albertans gave to Ottawa to build a ring-road around Calgary, we stand firm for a clear solution. Independence is the only hope.
I have seen the corruption which is Canada. I have seen the problems of bilingualism every time I get on an airplane or talk to an Ottawa bureaucrat or Federal judge. I have seen the corruption of the secret police who play politics in secret and try to stifle dissent. I have seen the monopoly of the media and the uniform subservience of the servile press. I have seen the plunder of people's lives in the taxing powers of Ottawa. I have seen the parliament of the Ontario and Quebec which have 103 and 80 or 183 out of 201 seats between them, at Ottawa.
Everywhere one can see in the Kyoto Accord, farmers going to jail for selling their own wheat, or the tyrannical gun registry laws, obligatory homosexual marriage, and continued immigration overload, the effects of 70 out of 100 years of “Gliberal” rule. This is a problem which will only end one of two ways. Disaster and tyranny for us with a few Liberals ruling over us. Or a free, prosperous, Independent nation of Western Canada with Alberta leading the way!
Economically Albertans have nothing to lose and everything to gain from Independence. The petition for a Clarity Act Referendum is the only legal and effective way to get there. What emotional, moral, cultural or other significance has Canada got to keep us against our own best interests?
Look at history to see where we are going. All the Western grievance movements have failed. Alliance/Reform is merely the last sad story of Ontario rejection of the West. Why waste more time? Alberta will make a great new country soon.
Let's get our tour underway so we get 100,000 names on our petition before the end of this year! We have almost 10,000 now in just over two months and we have not even had public meetings very often. This initiative is just getting rolling. We need you to get on the freedom train. The following are suggestions which you could use to help.
Take the enclosed press release to all the media in your town. Speak to them personally and let them know you support the petition (take it with you) for a referendum on Independence. You could also use the press release as the foundation for a letter to the editor, or call to a talk show. The voice of each of us needs to be raised for our cause.
You could phone talk shows on the radio and speak about the tour before, during and after it happens. Mention the petition and have a contact phone number to call if you are allowed to mention it, even giving your own number if you are willing to pass on requests to us.
Photocopy the tour itinerary, highlight the meeting in your area and put this up as a poster in Laundromats, libraries, store windows, club and apartment block notice boards, recreation centres, and anywhere that you can post a notice.
Become a Campaigner! Come on the tour yourself for a few days or all the way so that each town will have teams going door to door and throughout the community getting signatures on our petition and inviting people to our meeting and giving out literature. We need all hands to work and all feet to walk and all tongues to speak for our growth and hope of a new nation. The days work will culminate in our evening meeting where I will speak but each of the campaigners could share their experiences with us to inspire us all at the meeting.
Get bumper stickers and distribute or sell them as you can to raised the profile of our petition. We need to focus on the petition which is up on our website. There is a real drive for signatures all over Western Canada, but focusing on Alberta at the present time. Don't forget the same petition is being circulated and is effective in all over communities of Western Canada!
If you can't come, or live too far away, you could send a donation to help pay for this tour in the self-addressed envelope enclosed. As you can imagine, the halls and travel and literature and advertising are going to cost a lot of money. I will donate my time but I cannot carry the whole cost alone. Others have volunteered as well, and will make this a great step forward, but the costs of the expense should be covered by all our sacrifice, not just the few volunteers. If you are generous, the burden will be lightened for us all. After all, the new nation is a hope for everyone's freedom, not just the few who go into the frontlines.
The tour will be a success because a few people care! If you can't join the tour, can't get out to give press releases to the media, can't donate, and can't talk to your neighbours for whatever reasons, you could pray for us and ask God to bless our efforts with wisdom, strength and a growing spiritual awakening to the true hope which is a resurrection of moral courage in all the people of our land. We must stand against the growing tyranny of our government with a clear and democratic will to escape by the lawful means available to us from its corrupt and corrupting influence. Our real enemy is our own apathy and ignorance. We have control over that!
There are many ways to help, and each one is important. Keep going, and we will succeed!

We give you the power to choose!
Doug Christie and the Western Canada Concept are going to tour Southern Alberta June 1st to June 14th, 2003. This is to advance the petition for a Clarity Act Referendum so that Albertans can chose whether they want to stay in Canada or not. We seek this referendum by 2005, the 100th Anniversary of Alberta's entry into confederation. Once in 100 years, let the people have a choice!
Gun control laws, farmers going to jail for selling their own wheat, controlling Alberta's oil and gas industry by a carbon tax are a few of Ottawa's present irritants. The National Energy Program, taxation, federal spending, enforced bilingualism, metrification, and the power of Ontario and Quebec in Ottawa are a few of the grievances of the past. Many more could be mentioned and will be mentioned at the meetings.
The Reform Party has tried and failed to achieve change. Nothing in Canada has or will fundamentally change. The Gliberals will be in power and their alter ego, the P.C. (Politically Correct) party will be used as a pretend opposition so it appears to be a democracy. They control all the power coast to coast in the family compact.
We who believe in Independence know we could do better. A referendum under the Clarity Act is a legal right of a province. Our petition has defined a clear question and a clear majority. We have already collected close to 10,000 signatures from Albertans who demand that their Premier allow them the right to chose to separate or surrender to Ottawa forever.
The tour, which is set out in the attached itinerary, is our democratic means to achieve that vote. We will campaign for more signatures during the day and seek new helpers at our evening meetings. People are invited to join us on the way. Bring Alberta flags to show our first loyalty is to the land we live in, not the foreign government at Ottawa. With this release should be a copy of the petition, and the itinerary.
